2011 President’s Message

I am honored to serve as the Athens Chapter President for 2011, and to have such a GREAT team of Line Officers and Committees to work with.  Our Committees are already busy planning the year’s programs and events and we hope to have something that all attendees will benefit from.  We had a nice turn-out at our Christmas Party/Installation Meeting that was held at The Iron Grill (formerly Harry Bissets) on Mitchell Bridge Road.  The food was tasty and the atmosphere warm.  It was great to see so many of our members be recognized for their contributions to 2010.

I am pleased to announce that, by popular demand,  our meetings for 2011 have been moved back to Carrabbas Italian Grill – 3194 Atlanta Hwy in Athens.

Our Program Committee has lined up some great speakers and topics for us this year.  I hope you’ll be able to make every meeting — and bring a few friends with you.  This year, networking will begin at 11:30 AM, as before, but I have asked our buffet to be set up by 11:50 so everyone will have time to get their plates and our speaker will have a chance to eat before taking the floor.

The Women’s Council is all about developing leadership.  Don’t wait until the end of the year to be thinking about building your skills.  If you have a position in mind that you would like to hold next year, now is a good time to begin watching and questioning the person that holds the position this year.

We value our Affiliate Partners highly and appreciate all that they do for us.  They look for a return on their investment, as we do, so the more REALTOR® members we have, the better networking opportunities they have; hence we need to recruit our fellow REALTORS®.  Let’s not forget to THANK our Partners, use their services every chance we get, and to refer them to our clients and friends.

I am always available for you, so feel free to contact me with your comments.  Here’s wishing you a Happy New Year and may all your wishes come true.

Regards,

Sandra
