2011 Athens Chapter Entrepeneur of the Year

Leah Leggett, 2011 Awards Committee Chair, was on hand at the December Business Resource Meeting to present the following award to Brenda Thompson – Entrepeneur of the Year.  Brenda has been a REALTOR for 31 years and is affiliated with Carriage House Realty in Athens.  She holds the CRS, GRI, and ABR Designations.  Congratulations, Brenda!

2012 Line Officers Installed

Faith Reid, 2011 Georgia WCR Chapter President traveled to Athens on December 15th to install the 2012 WCR Officers for the Athens Chapter.

The installation followed the December Business Resource Meeting, and preceeded the 2011 Christmas Party.  Jim and Sharon Gay were perfect hosts at their home for the events.

Happy New Year!

It seems like only a few weeks ago that it was New Year’s Eve 2010 and I was preparing to begin my journey as your 2011 Athens Chapter President.  How time flies.  It has been an honor and priviledge to have been chosen for this position, and was a personal growth experience for me.  I encourage ALL WCR members to get involved in some form of Leadership….your return on investment of your time will be priceless.

As my year ends, I want to thank my 2011 Team of Officers, Committee Chairs, Committee Members, and Past Presidents for their committment to our Athens Chapter.  I’m looking forward to a fabulous 2012.  Brenda Thompson has a great team in place and they’ve come up with fresh ideas to bring more value to our Chapter. 

My wish for each of you is a Happy New Year, Good Health, Good Friends, and Prosperity in your business.

Entrepreneur of the Year Award
 
This is awarded to a chapter member who has exhibited business leadership in their work and community. A member who has achieved something notable in business.

Member of the Year Award
 
This is awarded to a chapter member who has volunteered time and made a notable contribution to the life of the chapter.
 
Eligible Nominees for both Entrepreneur and Member of the Year
1)      Must be a Realtor or Realtor-Associate member of national Women’s Council of Realtors for minimum of one year
2)      Should have been a Realtor or Realtor-Associate for a minimum of one year.

Member of the Year Award Description
 
Affiliate of the Year Award
 
This is awarded to a chapter member who has volunteered time and made a notable contribution to the life of the chapter.
 
Eligible Nominees
1)      Must be an Affiliate member of the Athens Chapter Women’s Council of Realtors for minimum of one year.
 
Award recipients will be recognized at the December 15, Holiday Party.
